While the build had a slow start, some huge matches helped make this year’s edition the most anticipated pay per view of the year.

2022 ended with MJF as the AEW Champion and a bleak time ahead for AEW. CM Punk was still yet to return after All Out, there were no interesting storylines going on and there was no excitement for the AEW product for the first time in years.
