Alex Riley has revealed that he fought off The Miz and Chris Jericho for a bit-part role in the Netflix original series GLOW. The show centred around the all-female promotion from the 1980s, named the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, or GLOW.
In the show, Alex Rily played “Steel Horse”, a pro-wrestler who had intimate relations with one of the shows leads. His part only lasted for one episode but was a memorable character even to this day.
Speaking to Jim Varsallone from the Miami Herald, Alex Riley said;
I did, yeah (beat out The Miz & Chris Jericho for a role in GLOW). I try to stay humble in that space but I did do that, yep, which was interesting to me. I had just gotten let go from the WWE and then I ended up there. I was just like, okay. It was kind of nice. It was kind of a nice — okay, I guess I was pretty good. But yeah, it was pretty interesting. Yep. That’s the truth (Kiley laughed).
