1988 Royal Rumble winner “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan has faced every legend there is to wrestle over the past 40 years, but he has only named one as his favourite of all time.
Speaking on a recent watch along for AdFreeShows, Jim Duggan revealed that his favourite wrestler to face in the ring was “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase.
DiBise was a long-time friend and rival of Duggan, with the pair tagging together and facing off against each other hundreds of times over the course of their careers. Both men have been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and are considered legends of the business.
Speaking to AdFreeShows, “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan said;
“I wrestled Ted a bunch, all over the place. When I came into Mid-South, I was still green. I had only been in the business like four years, I didn’t know anything. They put me and DiBiase and [Matt] Bourne together as the Rat Pack, and I started to learn the business. And I learned a lot from Ted over the years.”
Jim Duggan wrestled his last match in 2013 and now both men are retired. They both appear semi-regularly on WWE, appearing whenever an old-school show or legends night shows are booked and the top stars of old make their way back to the WWE for one night only.
