AEW Fan Favourite Orange Cassidy looks to be facing a spell on the side-lines after suffering an injury at the hands of English Wrestler PAC on last night’s edition of AEW Dynamite.
The pair were facing off in a number 1 contenders match, with the winner facing AEW Champion Kenny Omega at AEW Double or Nothing. PAC hit Cassidy with a brutal powerbomb, which due to some miscommunication, landed Cassidy on the back of his head, rather than flat on his back. Referee Aubrey Edwards threw up the X with her hands, indicating that the injury was real.
It looked like a concussion for Orange Cassidy, who looked to be suffering but has been included in the main event of Double or Nothing in a triple Threat match with Omega and PAC
In an update on Orange Cassidy, we’re told that he’s okay now but an audible was called on the fly to adjust the finish of his match with Pac. When it became clear that Orange Cassidy was hurt and trying to fight through it, a change was called that would preserve Cassidy’s spot in the AEW Double or Nothing Match. The three-way title match was always the plan, but the two were supposed to originally go to 20 minute draw.
