Logan Paul’s WWE Debut showed the Youtube Star has a future in Wrestling

Wrestlemania 38 saw Logan Paul‘s WWE debut match, and fans were shocked and excited by what they saw. The controversial Youtube star teamed with perennial villain The Miz to the take on the father-and-son team of WWE Legend Rey Mysterio and his son, Dominik Mysterio.

The Miz had been feuding with the Mysterio’s for month, and brought in his A-List friend Logan Paul to wrestle with him at Wrestlemania 38. Logan Paul’ first WWE appearance was not with the Miz, however. He appeared at last years Wrestlemania, as Sami Zayn‘s guest as the Canadian-Syrian wrestler lost to Kevin Owens in a fantastic match.

However, this year did see Logan Paul’s first match in WWE, and fans were sceptical about what they were going to see. Having never wrestled before and being quite a controversial figure online, nobody knew if Logan Paul’s heart was in the match. Nobody knew if he would put in the work and dedication to become a good wrestler, and if he had the drive to become a WWE superstar.

And them, WWE’s newest star was born as Logan Paul’s WWE debut began.

Logan Paul WWE Debut

Logan Paul’s first match in WWE came at Wrestlemania 38 in 2022. He teamed with The Miz as they took on Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio on the first night of the two-night WWE event.

Logan Paul impressed in his WWE debut. His size and strength from years of boxing and amateur wrestling gave him a good base to start with, as he looked physically imposing next to the 5 foot 4 Rey Mysterio. He also dressed like a wrestler, in matching tights and robed with the Miz and with a $6,000,000 Pokemon card around his neck.

However, it was once the bell rang and he stepped foot into the ring that he truly showed what it means to be a WWE superstar. Paul showed a natural ability in the ring not seen by a rookie since the likes of Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey. He was crisp in the ring, and followed the lead of Mysterio and Miz to put on one of the matches of the night.

To see Logan Paul in WWE wrestling a match surreal, but he fit in seamlessly straight away. He pulled in massive heat, proving himself to be a natural heel. In particular, he hit Rey Mysterio with the Three Amigos Suplexes, made famous by Mysterio’s deceased friend Eddie Guerrero. In Guerrero’s home town of Texas, Logan Paul made the WWE crowd boo harshly as he climbed to the top rope, performed Guerrero’s signature Latiino Heat taunt and hit his famous Frog Splash for a near fall

Logan Paul’s Wrestlemania debut ended in victory as the Miz pinned Rey Mysterio after a Skull Crushing Finale. However, The Miz attacked his partner after the match, laying him out with his signature move and putting fuel on the fire for a potential Logan Paul WWE return for a match against The Miz at Summerslam 2022.

Whether The Miz vs Logan Paul happens is another question, but whatever happens Logan Paul in WWE has been a huge success and he has shown that he has a future in wrestling with WWE.
