WWE WrestleMania 1 was the first in a long line of legendary events put on by WWE that helped put the company at the forefront of the wrestling world.
A huge gamble from Vince McMahon worked out perfectly as it put the WWE (then WWF) on the map with the incredible main event of Hulk Hogan & Mr T vs Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff.
Here are all the star ratings for the Wrestlemania 1 matches. These ratings come from Dave Meltzer in the publication The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Star ratings are generally on a scale of 0 to 5, with 5 being an incredible match.
However, ratings can go below 0 (with really, really bad matches being given the infamous minus-5 stars) and even better matches being able to be given more than five stars.
The most famous example is the Kenny Omega vs Kazuchika Okada match which gained an astonishing 7 stars.

The star ratings for Wrestlemania 1 are as follows;
• Tito Santana vs. The Executioner = 2.5 stars
• King Kong Bundy (w/Jimmy Hart) vs. SD Jones = DUD
• Ricky Steamboat vs. Matt Borne = 3.25 stars (Highest Rated Match On The Show)
• Brutus Beefcake (w/Johnny Valiant) vs. David Sammartino (w/Bruno Sammartino) = 2 stars
• The Junkyard Dog vs. Greg Valentine (w/Jimmy Hart) = 0.5 stars
• Nikolai Volkoff & The Iron Sheik (w/Freddie Blassie) vs. Barry Windham & Mike Rotundo (w/Captain Lou Albano) = 3 stars
• Andre The Giant vs. Big John Studd (w/Bobby Heenan) = -2 stars
• Wendi Richter (w/Cyndi Lauper & David Wolff) vs. Leilani Kai (w/The Fabulous Moolah) = 1 star
• Hulk Hogan & Mr. T (w/Jimmy Snuka) vs. Paul Orndorff & Roddy Piper (w/Bob Orton) = Not Rated
