Tay Conti and Anna Jay once again became a team in AEW, after Anna Jay turned heel on AEW Dynamite: Fyter Fest Week 2.
TayJay once again joined forces in a huge main event match, when Anna Jay helped Tay Conti attack Ruby Soho and help Chris Jericho defeat Eddie Kingston in a “Barbed Wire Everywhere” match. Anna Jay attacked Soho, taking the key to the shake cage where the Jericho Appreciation Society were being held and released them to help Jericho in victory.
Anna Jay has long been associated with The Dark Order, as well as with her tag team with Tay Conti, but has now aligned herself with Chris Jericho and company as she moves into a darker and edgier point in her AEW career.
TayJay made their names in a fantastic Street Fight match last year on the December 31, 2021 edition of AEW Rampage, when their blood-covered bodies defeated Penelope Ford & The Bunny. They took some hellacious bumps and impressed the crowd with their dedication to the match and lack of fear in one of the best women’s matches in AEW.
After attacking Ruby Soho, Anna Jay lowered the shark cage to allow Daniel Garcia, Jake Hager, Angelo Parker and Matt Menard to escape their prison and launch an assault on Jericho’s opponent and rival Eddie Kingston.
AEW teased tension between Tay Conti and Anna Jay last week, but it was all a ruse as the two stars of the AEW women’s division once again joined forces and became one of the top tag teams in AEW overnight.
Tay Conti and Anna Jay, as TayJay, will likely be associated with Sammy Guevara and the Jericho Appreciation Society going forward. The duo will likely move on to wrestling for the AEW Women’s Championship or the TBS Championship, held by Thunder Rosa and Jade Cargill, respectively.
Tay Conti is currently engaged to on-screen partner Sammy Guevara and Anna Jay is dating young superstar Jungle Boy, aka Jack Perry (son of late Hollywood star Luke Perry).
