John Cena Is Carving Out A Career For Himself In Hollywood
John Cena is currently breaking into Hollywood as an actor, following in the footsteps of fellow former WWE Champions The Rock and Batista.
John Cena’s first movie he starred in was the WWE Production “The Marine”, where he played former Marine John Triton, who has to save his wife after being kidnapped by a deadly crime boss. This film did well for a WWE production but did not make a dent in Hollywood, and would be his last movie for a number of years.
However, in the mid 2010s Cena began to wind down his wrestling career and focused more heavily on becoming an actor. He took mainly comedic roles, appearing in hit comedy movies like Trainwreck, Daddy’s Home and Daddy’s Home 2. He showed he had fantastic timing and played his role immensely, but not show much range in his performances.
However, he has since moved on to playing a variety of different roles. He appeared in the Transformers prequel Bumblebee and well as appearing as Peacemaker in The Suicide Squad and it’s accompanying TV series, also named Peacemaker. Here he showcased a different side of his ability and has led him to be offered a number of roles in the future.
