Former WWE and ECW legend The Sandman and 2 Cold Scorpio are set to make a big return to wrestling soon. Game Changer Wrestling has announced the pair will be competing at the promotion’s upcoming “Wasted Time” event, which takes place from Pop’s in Sauget Illinois and will air on FITE TV. It has been 20 years since the closure of ECW but the love for the promotion still rings true, given how popular this announcement has been.
Both men have been active since the closure, with 2 Cold Scorpio’s last match being earlier this year, while Sandman’s was in 2021. The Sandman famously wrestled for WWE during the ECW reboot in 2006 and wrestled until his release in 2007. His most memorable moment, outside of his entrance from ECW One Night Stand, was the time he forget to exit the ring and almost ended up as Vince McMahon’s illegitimate son.
The pair were announced to be competing at the show by GCW on Twitter, and you can see their full press release below
The show will also feature regular like Nick Wayne, Tony Deppen, Starboy, Jimmy Lloyd, and GCW world champion, Nick Gage. Jon Moxley, who has been a regular at the promotion, is unlikely to appear at the event due to his new AEW contract.
