Bret Hart has continued his long-time rivalry with Goldberg, while also complimenting current WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.
The former WWE and WCW Champion was forced to retire in 2000 after he was kicked in the head by Goldberg, and he has never forgiven Goldberg, who has never been overly apologetic to the Canadian wrestler.
Bret Hart is one of the best technical wrestlers of all time, and things very little of Bill Goldberg and his style of wrestling. Goldberg was famous for his quick matches, where he hit 2 or 3 high impact moves before winning in record time. This is the anthetisis of what Bret Hart believes wrestling to be.
Hart has taken his latest shot at Goldberg this week, by complimenting Goldberg’s in-ring rival, Brock Lesnar. The WWE Champion is one of the biggest stars in WWE history, and has the approval of Bret Hart, who called Lesnar a “Good Worker”.
“Always heard Brock (Lesnar) was a good worker. I’ve never heard that (he was stiff in-ring). Always heard just the opposite, that he looks stiff, but he’s a real pro in the ring. Totally the opposite of Goldberg.” – Bret Hart on Signed By Superstars.
Hart never had the opportunity to wrestler Lesnar, retiring two years prior to Brock Lesnar’s WWE debut. However, it would be one of the biggest dream matches of all time and one that fans would love to have seen if both men could have stayed healthy at the same time.
