AEW President Tony Khan confirmed today that Will Ospreay will take on Dax Harwood in a singles match, just days after Ospreay defeated SANADA to capture the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship at NJPW Dominion.
With AEW cancelling the tag team triple threat ladder match due to Jeff Hardy’s DUI, AEW needed a big match to draw the fans in. Will Ospreay’s big singles debut in AEW is just that match. He is one of the best wrestlers in the world and destined to impress in AEW, with Ospreay vs Harwood the most exacting match of the night.
