Triple H has returned to WWE in his role of Executive Vice President and Head of Talent relations, effective immediately. The former WWE Champion has been out oft he company since September 2021 when he suffered a cardiac event that almost killed him and forced him to retire from the ring.
Triple H takes his role back from John Laurinaitis, who has been in hot water since he and Vince McMahon were accused of sexual harassment toward employees. The Game has long been a fan-favourite backstage after his revolutionary work with the NXT brand.
Since his absence, long-time friend Shawn Michaels has taken over running NXT. It is unknown if in his return he will resume control or if Triple H will allow HBK to keep running WWE’s developmental promotion.
