Vince McMahon has announced his retirement from wrestling at aged 77. The former WWE Champion announced he was leaving WWE with a Tweet on 22/7/22, ending over 40 years at the helm of the biggest wrestling company in history.
Vince McMahon leaves WWE as a billion dollar company that has conquered the world of wrestling and is the most recognisable wrestling entity of all time. He also achieved success in WWE in the ring, winning the WWE Championship and ECW Championship as well as winning the Royal Rumble match.
In a statement posted to Twitter, Vince McMahon retired by saying
“At 77, time for me to retire. Thank you, WWE Universe. Then. Now. Forever. Together. #WWE #thankful“
