WWE could be set to book NXT United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate vs Bronn Breakker at WWE Clash at the Castle, with the Englishman aiming to take away Breakker’s NXT Championship in a blockbuster match set to wow fans in Cardiff.
The former British Strong Style member shocked fans at NXT Heatwave when he confronted the NXT Champion, after the latter defeated JD McDonagh (formerly Jordan Devlin) to retain his championship in the main event.
After his win, Bronn Breakker was confronted by Bate, who held his NXT United Kingdom Championship aloft, seemingly challenging his American counterpart to a huge match rumoured to take place next month at Clash at the Castle.
The interaction was very interesting, especially considering that Tyler Bate has not official won the NXT UK Championship yet. He won the belt at a recent TV taping in a tournament, but the episode of him winning have yet to be released. In fact, NXT UK fans will note that he has not even had a first round match yet!
The match has been rumoured to take place at Clash at the Castle, which will be broadcast from Cardiff, Wales in the United Kingdom. Being from England, the event will be a home-away-from-home for the young Tyler Bate, who is in his second reign as the NXT United Kingdom Champion. Bronn Breakker vs Tyler Bate is the rumoured match for the card.
This match could see the titles unified for the first time ever, mimicking the Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns match from this years Wrestlemania. With worries about NXT UK shutting down, this would be a perfect time to merge the two brands and create one champion to represent NXT Worldwide.
Triple H is said to be high on Bate and could call him up to the main roster if he performs well in NXT.
