NJPW Dominion 6.4 (2023) Star Ratings By Dave Meltzer Revealed

NJPW Dominion 6.4 (2023) was broadcast from Osaka-jo Hall in Osaka, Japan on June 4th, 2023. It was the 15th event under the Dominion name, the 9th to take place at the legendary Osaka-jo Hall.

The event came just weeks before the collaborative pay per view between New Japan Pro Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling. AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door will take place on June 24th, and many matches for that event were built up at Dominion 6.4.

This page will detail Dave Meltzer’s Star Ratings for NJPW Dominion 6.4 (2023), looking at every match on the card. We will also detail the Cagematch rating for the event.

Cagematch is a website which aggregates fans opinions on wrestling match. Fans can log on and rank the matches on a scale of zero to ten, which then calculates an average score for the matches.

Great matches can expect a 9+ rating while the worst matches may not even be worth giving a rating to at all.

Only matches over 5 minutes may be rated on the website. This means fantastic, yet shorter matches like KENTA vs Ricky Marvin will not be given a rating but that does not mean they are bad bouts.

The highest rated match on the site is the Kazuchika Okada vs Kitsuyori Shibata match was NJPW Sakura Genesis 2017.

Here are the star ratings for the matches at NJPW Dominion 6.4 (2023).

After the match, Ospreay got on the microphone and said he’s out for revenge on Omega, and will walk into Canada to bring the title back.

This likely means that the rematch between the two will happen at Forbidden Door.

SANADA vs Yota Tsuji

Just one day after defecting to Los Ingobernables de Japon, Yota Tsuji wrestled in the biggest match of his life, as he took on Sanada for the grandest price in New Japan – the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

Having returned from excursion in CMLL, Tsuji had everything to prove in NJPW, earning a world title shot very early on in his career.

In a fantastic match with some amazing teases of Yota Tsuji actually pulling off the upset (including the crowd being firmly on his side), SANADA manages to turn away the momentum and get the win.

After the match, LIJ left Tsuji in the ring, showing cracks in his relationship with the faction.
