WWE 2K22 has been revealed and looks to have one of the largest rosters in the history of the franchise. Building on from WWE 2K20’s record number of superstars, WWE 2K22 tries it’s hand to be the first true next-gen WWE console game and upon first look, looks to be a home run,
A number of new game modes are a great addition to WWE 2K22. However, the huge roster of WWE 2K22 will be perfect to compliment the return of GM Mode, a long awaited return for the series that has been absent for 14 years. It last appeared on Smackdown vs Raw 2008, and featured a three-way brand battle between RAW, Smackdown and ECW.
The General Manager mode, whilst being a beloved mode from time gone by, was brought back into the public conscience by the WWE-ran Youtube-ran UpUpDownDown. Xavier Woods and Tyler Breeze ran a successful series on Smackdown vs Raw 2006 that pitted each man against each other in a battle of the brands to see which GM was better than the other.
WWE has recently cut nearly 100 members of their roster over the last year. This has impacted the full roster of WWE 2K22, and some confirmed names could not be part of the roster when the game releases in march.
