PWMania recently spoke to Leon Slater, a young star who has been taking the wrestling world by storm. He became well known for his role working for Progress Wrestling, where he had wrestled many top stars around the world, including BOLA winner Speedball Mike Bailey and NJPW star Zack Sabre Jr.
However, he revealed one opponent stood head and shoulders above the rest. He told PWMania that his favourite match was against AEW star Konosuke Takeshita. The pair battled at Progress Chapter 137, in a match that wowed critics, especially fans of the young star.
Speaking to PWMania, Leon Slater said about the match with Konosuke Takeshita;
That’s a tough question as I took on some incredible wrestlers. Zack Sabre Jr., Mike Bailey, Lio Rush, and RKJ. So many solid names there’s so many to mention. But I’d say my match in PROGRESS against Konosuke Takeshita was the best. It was crazy man and he is amazing. The crowd were so into it and everything felt right, so that’s a real stand out for me.
