AEW Dynamite saw Miro return to AEW this week, amid rumours of him being drafted to AEW Collision in the coming weeks.

The former TNT Champion has not been seen in AEW since All Out 2022, when he teamed with Darby Allin and Sting to defeat the House of Black in Trios action.

After Claudio Castagnoli defeated Rey Fenix in the opener, Miro was spotted backstage by interviewer Renee Paquette.

She tried to interview the former Rusev, but Miro rejected her advances, making his way into a room labelled with the name “Tony Khan”.

The implication of this is that Miro was going to meet Tony Khan, with a view of returning to in-ring action with AEW.

The Bulgarian has reportedly been unhappy over recent months with the creative direction in AEW. He was pitched to return a couple of times last year, which would have seen him lose to Adam Page and Ethan Page, in separate matches.

However, he reportedly turned down both roles, preferring to stay at home with his wife, CJ Perry.

His return is long-awaited, and hopefully will mark another main event-level run for The Redeemer.

Miro’s return is expected to be as part of the upcoming brand split in AEW. With CM Punk’s return and the debut of AEW Collision, the company looks set to split the roster, a la Raw and Smackdown in the WWE.

Miro is expected to appear on Collision, alongside the likes of CM Punk, Chris Jericho and FTR.
