Will Ospreay is set to appear at Wembley Stadium for AEW’s All In show later this year, amid rumours of a rematch against Kenny Omega.
The English ace has made occasional appearances in AEW over the past year, most notable against Orange Cassidy at Forbidden Door.
He later appeared in the AEW Trios Tournament, where Will Ospreay teamed up with Aussie Open to wrestle against Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks.
The best match of 2023 so far has seen Kenny Omega beat Will Ospreay at Wrestle Kingdom 17, NJPW’s biggest show of the year.
The rematch is one of the most anticipated bouts in years, and it looks like that match could happen in front on 90,000 fans at All In.
Will Ospreay Is All In
Dave Meltzer has reported that Will Ospreay is signed for All In, and is likely to wrestle on the show.
This adds credence to the rumours of a Will Ospreay vs Kenny Omega 2, although nothing has been announced at this time.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Will Ospreay will be wrestling at All In and he was booked to be on the card as of a couple of days ago.
However, he does not know who Ospreay will be facing at Wembley Stadium on August 27, 2023.
Dave Meltzer said, “Will Ospreay, as of a couple of days ago, was booked on the show. I do not know his opponent. I do not know the match, but he was booked on the show,”
Ospreay noted back in April that he hoped to be in action at All In. He told Dark Puroresu Flowsion: “Im a guy that pops in. All the love in the world to all those & its amazing crew. I hope there is an opportunity as 1 of the guys that flys the flag for everywhere I go. To do that would finally make my dad proud.”
All In is scheduled for Sunday, August 27 at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
It will be AEW’s first show in the UK, and so far has sold over 70,000 tickets. It is on course to be the biggest selling wrestling event of all time, beating out both WrestleMania 3 and WrestleMania 32.
