WWE have released footage of a secret conversation between The Rock and John Cena at WrestleMania 29 for the very first time.
The footage was shot following the WrestleMania 29 main event, where John Cena defeated The Rock to win the WWE Championship.
This came one year after The Rock won their “Once In A Lifetime” match at WrestleMania 28, his first match back in the WWE for nearly a decade.
WWE recently released footage, with captions, that showed what John Cena and The Rock said to each other following their clash in New York.
First, holding his newly won WWE Championship, John Cena said, “Because of you – no, I’m serious – I asked for a picture of you and me when I was 20 years old, working in a store in Venice, California. You’ve always been nice, you’ve always been respectful whenever we talked, and you always told me to keep it up!”
Then, The Rock replied, “When I came back for this very moment, right now, for them – for them, and for you. I believe in you.”. The pair then shook hands and hugged, while The Rock whispered something inaudible into John Cena’s ear.
