FTR WWE RETURN

Dax Harwood reveals a FTR WWE return could be on the horizon in a recent Twitter Q&A. The former AEW tag team champions joined AEW from WWE in 2020 and found immediate success in the company. They are former AEW Tag Team Champions and have competed in multiple main event matches, including main eventing AEW Blood & Guts and AEW Double or Nothing 2021.

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler were first put together in a tag team in NXT in 2014. They were first known as The Mechanics before settling on the name that made them most famous, The Revival. The name came from their old-school tag team wrestling style and their attempt to “revive” the tag team wrestling scene in WWE.

The duo became the first team to win the NXT, Raw and Smackdown tag team championships. They also won the NXT Match of the Year award, for their 2/3 falls match against #DIY, and the NXT Tag Team of the Year award, in 2016.

In a recent Twitter Q&A, Dax Harwood took questions from his Twitter followers about a number of topics. This included the Briscoes, Bret Hart and he and Cash Wheelers future in AEW. He was asked about a possible FTR WWE return, and also questioned whether or not he could interview Dax Harwood for his podcast.

Harwood revealed that the pair could one day return to WWE, and that the Twitter user could not interview him.

“Yes, If the money and circumstances were right and, no, you can’t interview me”

FTR revealed late last year that their AEW deals were up soon. It has been speculated that they signed a two-year deal before they made their debut in AEW. This would mean that their current deal is up around May 2021, and it is unknown whether or not they have signed extensions to their contracts since that time.
