The WWE women’s division is thriving, and has done for the last few years. With Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks and Bianca Bel Air the top stars of the division, they have as much or even more star power than the men’s division at the moment. However, there’s always room for another star, and that could be the case with Lacey Evans set to return to WWE imminently.
Lacey Evans has not been seen on television since early in 2021. Evans was set to face Asuka for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship, with the former Marine expected to dethrone Asuka and win her first Championship in WWE. Evans had recently entered into a relationship on-screen with Ric Flair, the legendary father of Charlotte Flair. The Relationship began as part of Evans’ feud with Charlotte but continued on as she tried to win the Raw Women’s Championship from Japanese star Asuka.
However, in February 2021 it was announced that Lacey Evans would be taking time off due to pregnancy. It was implied in storyline that Ric Flair was the father, but that was soon dropped due to how distasteful that was.
However, Evans could be set for a return, and soon.
Lacey Evans WWE return
Lacey Evans has since given birth to her baby, with details of the birth scarce. However, she did tease on Twitter that she is set for an imminent return to the squared circle with the WWE.
A fan tweeted Lacey Evans on twitter of their daughter opening their Christmas present. Inside was a Lacey Evans figure, with the child delighted at receiving the gift of her favourite wrestler for Christmas. Excited at the prospect of seeing her child’s favourite wrestler, the mother tagged Lacey Evans in the tweet, noting how her daughter “she asked when Lacey would come back”.
Delighted at the show of excitement over her return, Evans swiftly replied to the tweet with the simple phrase, “Tell her I’m Coming” with an hourglass emoji, flexing arm emoji and a heart emoji.
Various Instagram posts from earlier in November this year showed Lacey Evans training in the ring at the WWE Performance Centre. If she is cleared to wrestle, with so many top WWE talents being removed from the shows due to Covid, it is likely that Evans could be hot shotted back onto WWE TV and placed into the title picture.
