Recent reports have indicated that WWE’s Bayley should return to the company at Summerslam 2022. The former champion has been absent from WWE TV for over a year, after a horrific ACL tear she suffered while working out in the WWE Performance Center put her on the shelf.
It was reported by PWInsider that Bayley will return to WWE at Summerslam weekend, being booked to be in Nashville for Summerslam weekend. This would put her return firmly at the event itself, marking a huge return for one of the biggest stars of the WWE women’s division.
This would mirror last Summerslam, where another former Women’s Champion made her return to WWE. At Summerslam 2021, Becky Lynch returned to WWE after a year out after having her first child with husband Seth Rollins.
Bayley’s last match in WWE was teaming with Seth Rollins in a mixed-tag team match against Bianca Belair and Cesaro. The match took place on the 25/6/21 edition of Friday Night Smackdown, and was building to Bayley vs Bianca Belair at Money in the Bank 2021.
however, soon after she suffered the ACL tear and was put out of action for over a year. He return will be welcomed by WWE fans who have no doubt missed the Role Model and know that she would add some star power to a waning WWE Women’s division.
