Charlotte Flair could be making her return to WWE soon after a long hiatus away from the wrestling ring.

As one of the best women wrestlers of all time, Charlotte Flair has been there and done it all in the WWE. She is a former six-time Smackdown Women’s Champion, six-time Raw Women’s Champion, a two-time NXT Women’s champion and even holds a single Divas Championship reign under her belt. She is slowly creeping up to her father’s record of 16 world championships and could break it in the next couple of years, solidifying her as one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time.

However, fans have not seen The Queen for a number of months. She has been absent from WWE programming since May 2022, where she wrestled her last match at Wrestlemania Backlash against Ronda Rousey. She lost the Smackdown Women’s Championship to Rousey and was written off TV after the event, claimed to be from an arm injury.

In actual fact, the 13-time world champion took some time off to get married. She tied the knot with her fiancé Andrade in May 2022 in front of a whole host of friends and relatives. Andrade, the former WWE star who has since signed for AEW, revealed that Charlotte Flair is currently taking time off due to “personal reasons” and the she will update the fans in interview at some point in the near future.

Appearing on the Mas Lucha show, Andrade revealed why Charlotte Flair is missing from WWE and when she will update people on her return to the WWE.

“It is difficult at the same time because Ashley (Charlotte Flair) has time off due to personal reasons and she will specify them in future interviews. It was very heavy because she worked on Thursdays to work on Weekends while I travelled on Tuesdays and returned on Thursdays as soon as she was scheduled to leave. Right now we are good because I get to see her more, I hope she comes back soon.”

Her return could be sooner than people think. In a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter , Dave Meltzer wrote: “Charlotte Flair is scheduled to return soon.”, which bodes well for her immediate WWE future. While “soon” is a subjective measure and could mean anytime between now and Christmas, there is hope that her return would be in the next few weeks, hopefully to take part in War Games at Survivor Series 2022 on November 26th.

Her immanent return seems even more likely, given that she recently made an apperaance on a WWE show on the Fox network. The Queen featured on the “WWE’s Most Extreme Moment”, her first appearance in wrestling media for months. In it, she called out Bianca Belair, who currently holds the Raw Women’s Champion, having defended it against Bayley at WWE Crown Jewel 2022.

She told cameras that she was “keeping an eye” on Bianca Belair and the Raw Women’s Championship, indicating that WWE has plans to draft Charlotte Flair to Monday Night Raw upon her return to the company. It seems likely that she will join Damage CTRL, who are looking for another member for their War Games team, at Survivor Series as they battle Bianca Belair’s team which also features Asuka and Alexa Bliss.

We will update this page if any more information about Charlotte Flair’s WWE return becomes available.
