WWE Releases 2023

The WWE releases in 2023 could be set to follow on from the horror show that was 2022 and 2021. Over the past two years, WWE have fired an extraordinary number of talents, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

In 2021, over 100 wrestlers were given the chop in a troubled year for all, due to the pandemic.

Top stars like Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt all saw their contracts expire and left the company in an incredibly surprising turn of events, even though some like Wyatt have since returned to the WWE.

2022 was just as bad. Over 60 stars were released from the WWE, with one man in particular being the biggest shock.

While some were unlikely members of the roster to be cut, like William Regal or the entirety of the NXT UK brand, the retirement of Vince McMahon from his position as head of the WWE sent shockwaves across the wrestling world and brought on the biggest change since AEW launched in 2019.

While the future is unclear with Triple H is unclear, it is likely more releases will follow in 2023.

This page will detail the WWE releases of 2023 and will be continually updated up until the end of the year. Let us know in the comments which release you are most upset about and who WWE made a mistake about by firing them this year.
