Johnny Knoxville
Jackass is long past its prime in the American zeitgeist, but that didn’t stop Johnny Knoxville making a huge splash in one of many celebrity WWE matches at WrestleMania 38.
The Jackass star had been feuding with Sami Zayn on TV and through social media for once, even attacking the Canadian during the 2022 Royal Rumble match.
This led to one of the wackiest and most fun matches in WrestleMania history. Zayn vs Knoxville is definitely the zaniest match in WWE history, featuring Jackass staples like mousetraps, a giant hand and tasers, to name but a few iconic moments of the match.
It even saw Wee Man body slamming Sami Zayn, paying tribute to the iconic Hulk Hogan vs Andre the Giant match at WrestleMania 3.
Johnny Knoxville won his first and only singles match in WWE, pinning Zayn after trapping him with a giant mouse trap.
No, really. Watch the match, it’s incredible.
Logan Paul
Few wrestlers have put on a match of the year contender in just their third match ever – but most wrestlers aren’t Youtube celebrity Logan Paul.
The former Vince star wrestled Roman Reigns in Saudi Arabia in his third match, and put on a hell of a performance. He did not manage to win the WWE title, but he earned a ton of respect from the WWE Universe.
Logan Paul seemed to have taken to pro-wrestling like a duck to water. He had his first match at WrestleMania 38, and didn’t look out of place among veterans like The Miz and Rey Mysterio.
Logan Paul is one of the best celebrity wrestlers ever, in terms the fundamentals and match quality. If he wanted to go full time going forward, and commit himself to wrestling for the WWE, he could feasibly become the WWE Champion one day further down the line.
Bad Bunny
One of the best celebrity wrestlers in the WWE is hit recording artist Bad Bunny. He came into the company with zero expectations, but put i the work and had some excellent matches in his short run.
Wrestling in a mixed tag team match at WrestleMania 37 and a Royal Rumble appearance in 2022, Bad Bunny impressed with some fun matches and some moves he had no right in hitting.
After months of feuding with John Morrison and The Miz, Bad Bunny joined forces with Damian Priest for a huge tag team match at Wrestlemania 37. Expectations were low for Bad Bunny, as he had never wrestled before and, as the world’s highest selling recording artist, would not want to risk injury that would affect his upcoming world tour.
However, he shocked everybody. Bad Bunny put on an incredible performance against John Morrison and The Miz. He hit a number of exciting moves during the match, including a suicide dive, a suplex and many more.
The most impressive part of the match was when Bad Bunny hit John Morrison with a Canadian Destroyer on the outside, The move was incredible and something that only the most experienced wrestlers can pull off. It showed just how much he wanted to put on a good show, putting his own safety on the line to pop the crowd.
Mr T
The A-Team and Rocky III star Mr T was one of the first big celebrities to step into a WWE ring.
In 1983, he was one of the most popular actors in the United States and was brought into the WWE to help promote the first ever WrestleMania.
Drawing on real-life heat with the WWE locker room, due to his status as a “non-wrestler” taking a spot from the boys, he battled Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff in the WrestleMania 1 main event, alongside the iconic Hulk Hogan.
He came back a year later to box Piper at WrestleMania 2, and had a handful of matches in WCW before hanging up his boots for good. As the main eventer of WrestleMania 1, he is certainly one of the most important celebrity wrestlers in WWE history.
