Chris Jericho Last Match In The UK
The last time Chris Jericho wrestled in the United Kingdom was during the WWE’s UK tour of 2016.
The tour occurred in late-2016, when Jericho had formed a team with Kevin Owens. Owens won the Universal Championship months prior, and enlisted Jericho to help him keep it, against opponents like Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.
They teamed together as part of the Raw team at Survivor Series, and had become the top players on Monday Night Raw. Jericho and Owens became a legendary duo, fondly remembered to this day.
The last time Chris Jericho wrestled on television or pay per view in the UK was during November 7th, 2016 episode of Monday Night Raw.
Broadcast from the famous SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow, Chris Jericho wrestled in a five-way match between the members of Raw’s Survivor Series team.
Chris Jericho wrestled against Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman, in a no-holds-barred match that wowed the Scottish crowd.
Despite being opponents, Jericho and Owens worked together in taking down the other three men. However, it was Kevin Owens who pinned Chris Jericho in his final UK match, in hilarious fashion.
As the match came to a close, Seth Rollins hit Y2J with a pedigree, leaving him sprawled out in the ring. Owens then knocked Rollins through the ropes with a superkick, before eating a Superman Punch from Roman Reigns.
This caused Owens to fall back onto Jericho, inadvertently pinning him for the victory.
It was a fun, creative ending, which added to the faux-breakup storyline that the pair had going at the time. However, they continued to team together for some months, until the legendary Festival of Friendship segment.
