Arnold Schwarzenegger has revealed how he became friends with Bruno Sammartino when he first came to America.
The legendary actor ventured to American in 1968 after aspiring to be a bodybuilder. He quickly won numerous competitions and ventured in acting soon after.
Starring in hits like Predator, Kindergarten Cop and Jingle All The Way, the Austrian became a household name. He became the most popular actor in the world and soon moved into politic, ending up as the governor of California.
However, one of the first friends he made in America was former WWE Champion Bruno Sammartino.
Speaking in an interview with Muscle and Fitness, Arnold Schwarzenegger spoke about meeting WWE Legend Bruno Sammartino when he first came to the United States.
“When I moved over here to America the first guy that I met in professional wrestling was Bruno Sammartino.
He was a judge at the Mr. Olympia competition and Mr. Universe competition every year because he was really heavily into bodybuilding and knew everything about it.
So he was a judge and I met him at the competitions, and then later on he invited me to come to wrestling matches and I watched him wrestle.
Fast-forward and then all of a sudden here I am inducting him into the Hall of Fame. Not only here, but also in Columbus, Ohio at the Arnold Classic.”
