AEW’s Bryan Danielson shocked fans when he entered to his classic ROH theme song at Forbidden Door.
The former WWE Champion had one of the pops of the night when he walked out to Europe’s smash hit “The Final Countdown” before his match against Kazuchika Okada.
He wrestled the Japanese icon in the main event of the show, which had to compete with Will Ospreay vs Kenny Omega as the match of the night.
The rights to use Final Countdown were said to be incredibly high, with Danielson not using the song since his days in ROH.
The song’s rights were purchased earlier this week, leading to speculation that Tony Khan was the one to have secured the song for his entrance.
This follows a spate of licensed songs being used in AEW, with Bryan Danielson’s “The Final Countdown” being the latest in an impressively long line of tunes.
