Chris Jericho vs Will Ospreay Set For Wembley Clash At All In

Chris Jericho looks set to take on Will Ospreay at AEW All In, as news of the first matches on the card emerge.

Fans had expected to see the third Will Ospreay vs Kenny Omega match at the show, ending one of the greatest trilogies in wrestling history.

However, a first-time ever encounter looks to be taking place at Wembley Stadium, as the UK’s own Will Ospreay will wrestle against Chris Jericho at All In.

According to a recent report by Fightful Select, Will Ospreay vs Chris Jericho is a huge match planned for All In.

Don Callis, who has been associated with Chris Jericho in recent weeks, helped Will Ospreay defeat Kenny Omega at Forbidden Door and could factor into the story of this match.

The report from Fightful Select stated:

IWGP United States Champion Will Ospreay is being planned and is expected to wrestle in his home country of England at AEW All In.

Fightful were told by NJPW sources that the plan relayed to them in July was Ospreay competing against Chris Jericho. They were told Don Callis is factored into the equation somehow, but unsure of which side he’ll be on.

Many fans were disappointed with the news, preferring Ospreay to wrestle against other AEW stars.

Kenny Omega, CM Punk and Bryan Danielson were touted as being the Englishman’s opponent for All In, but it seems Chris Jericho has been chosen to wrestle him at Wembley.

While this may seem disappointing, it is a huge opportunity for Ospreay. Chris Jericho is one of the biggest stars in wrestling history, and will draw millions of eyes towards AEW’s debut show in the UK.

By defeating Le Champion, Will Ospreay will be further legitimized in the eyes of the fan, and become an even bigger star in the world of wrestling.
