Christian Cage made his shock return last night on AEW Dynamite, marking his first appearance in the company in months. The Canadian star has been out with an injury since September and looks to be back full time and ready to battle an old rival.
Christian Cage suffered an injury prior to his victory over Jungle Boy at All Out 2022, leading to their match at the event lasting less than a minute. Following the event, Cage appeared on TV in a sling as the manager for Luchasaurs. However, neither men have been seen since Full Gear 2022, when Jungle Boy defeated Luchasaurus in a steel cage match.
After Jungle Boy Jack Perry scored a pinfall victory over Brian Cage on the Feb. 15 Dynamite, Cage appeared behind his former protégé on the stage.
Christian Cage appeared and sprayed mace in the face of the young Jack Perry. He then removed his sling, indicating that he is back from injury and ready to seek revenge over his former tag team partner.
The commentary team also indicated that his team with Hook was over, with Jungle Hook disbanding for both men to focus on their own singles career.
