Mark Henry claimed that the dream match between CM Punk and Kenny Omega is “just a matter of time” – despite tensions being at an all-time high.
The main had a scrap after All Out 2022, following an explosive press conference by Punk that flipped the wrestling world on iitst’s head.
Punk, Ace Steel, Omega and The Young Bucks got into a fight backstage afterwards, which ended in all parties being suspended.
Appearing on The Torg & Elliot Show, Mark Henry revealed he is one of many fans that want to see the first time-ever encounter, and feels the match could still happen.
The WWE Hall of Famer claimed the match is “just a matter of time”, despite the recent behind-the-scenes turmoil between CM Punk and a number of wrestlers on the roster.
“I want to see it too. It’s just a matter of time. You let things iron themselves out, and you see where things lead to. Could you imagine an AEW tournament for the World Title and on one side of the bracket, to go to the finals, you have Kenny Omega and CM Punk meet up against each other? It would be incredible,”
While many thought that CM Punk vs Kenny Omega could happen at All In at Wembley Stadium, both men have other matches for AEW’s debut in the United Kingdom.
