Dave Meltzer has awarded two matches as over five-stars this week, marking a historic week in pro-wrestling.
These two matches came in two different promotions, spanning two continents.
The first came in All Elite Wrestling, but it was not the highly-anticipated Blood & Guts match (which didn’t quite get five-stars).
Instead, it was the incredible, hour-long two out of three falls match between Bullet Club Gold and FTR.
This AEW Tag Team Championship match blew expectations out of the water, and provided fans with one of the best tag team matches in wrestling history.
The second came from Japan, when katsuhiko nakajima vs kento miyahara provided fans with an all-time classic at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s “One Night Dream”.
With top-tier selling and fantastic crowd working, the match fully derseved its star rating and will go down as an all-time great match.
Dave Meltzer also gave ratings to various WWE matches, as well as a host of bouts from the first week fo the G1 Climax 33.
