Hikaru Shida is currently injured and is unable to wrestle, the former AEW Women’s Champion recently revealed.
The Japanese star has not been seen wrestling since she successfully defended the Regina Di WAVE Championship against Risa Sera on January 1 in Japan. She has appeared on AEW alongside Toni Storm and Saraya in recent weeks, although Hikaru Shida’s last AEW match was on the December 28, 2022, Dark: Elevation taping.
Hikaru Shida revealed during a recent gaming stream that she had a minor injury to her finger. Although the injury is minor, it is keeping her out of the ring for the time being. Whilst she can’t wrestle at the moment, she is still able to play video games and continue her stream.
Luckily for AEW fans, the injury is “alright” and Shida thinks that she should be able to wrestle again “soon”.
“I’m going to the show every week. To be honest, I have a little injury in my finger. It’s alright. It’s good. I can play games . It’s alright. Maybe soon, I can wrestle,”
