Kota Ibushi could be the latest star to sign with All Elite Wrestling.

The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion left NJPW earlier this year, ending nearly a decade signed with the company.

The Golden Star had not wrestled in nearly two years, owing due to a horrific injury suffered in the G1 Climax Finals match against Kazuchika Okada.

Ibushi has said recently that he is “more suited to AEW” than another promotion, which gave the fans hope to see him in an AEW ring in the near future.

“I don’t want to go out normally, I want to go out seriously. I think I’m more suited to AEW than Japan. I already thought so during All In. I have many friends. There are even the best tag partners.”

Kota Ibusho also recently revealed who his dream match would be in AEW, should he sign for the company – “Hangman” Adam Page.

Adam Page vs Kota Ibushi

According to Dark Puroresu Flowsion on Twitter, Kota Ibushi has admitted on multiple occasions that a rematch against Adam Page would be a dream match for him,

The two men previously faced each other at ROH Supercard of Honor 2018. This occured when Page was a Ring of Honor roster member, while Ibushi was signed to New Japan Pro Wrestling.

However, since then, Hangman has come on leaps and bounds, and it a totally different level of star than he was back then.

This would make this bout even bigger than the previous one. As well as Hangman being a huge star, Ibushi has main evented the Tokyo Dome multiple times, beating the likes of Tetsuya Naito and Tetsuya Naito in massive main events.

While Adam Page vs Kota Ibushi would be a huge match for All In 2 in London, fans will be hoping to see Ibushi take on Kenny Omega in Wembley Stadium.

The pair have a long and storied past together, getting worldwide acclaim as The Golden Lovers. You read about the relationship between Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi below.
