LA Knight’s Relation To Elias Revealed (WWE)

LA Knight is one of the most popular wrestlers in the WWE today, quickly becoming a fan-favorite world-wide.

The former Million Dollar Champion is one of the favorites to win the 2024 Royal Rumble, and looks set to become the company’s next big megastar.

However, many have questions LA Knight’s relation to WWE Superstar Elias. Are LA Knigth and Elias related? In this article, we’ll explain everything.

Despite them looking very similar, LA Knight and Elias are not related at all.

The pair share a startling similarity in looks, which has led many WWE fans to think that the pair may actually be related.

They do not share the last name on TV, which should give you a clue, although some real-life brothers have had different last names in WWE (Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas, for example).

The pair have not shared the screen at all, so fans have not been able to get a good look at the two side-by-side, although photos show how similar the pair are.

Elias with his brother, Ezekial – sharing a spooky similarity to LA Knight.

As he is not related to Elias, LA Knight also shares no relation with his “brother” Ezekial. Many people even thought LA Knight portrayed Ezekial, although Damian Sandow was also considered for the role.

In fact, Elias himself played Ezekial, so LA Knight had literally nothing to do with that.

LA Knight is not even related to Maxxine Dupree, who was introduces as his sister in the WWE.

LA Knight split from Maxxine Dupree and the rest of the MMM.

This was when he was called up to the main roster as Max Dupree, the manager of tag team duo “Maximum Male Models”, a vastly unpopular decision.

Maxxine Dupree soon took over the group, with Max Dupree changing back to his LA Knight gimmick. Despite the storyline, LA Knight is not related to Maxxine Dupree.

LA Knight Has Wrestled Against Elias Just Once

Despite the constant chatter about their apparent relation, LA Knight and Elias have only shared the ring one occasion.

On the Smackdown before WrestleMania 39, WWE opted to host the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The match, made in 2014 to honor the life and career of WWE Hall of Famer Andre The Giant (who had the shortest WWE Championship reign of all time), was originally created to take place at WrestleMania every year, but soon fell out of favor.

Despite being pushed as a big deal in the early years (with early winners including Cesaro, Big Show and Baron Corbin), in later years the battle royal was just an afterthought. After skipping out on WrestleMania 36 (due to pandemic), the match returned in 2021 on Smackdown, taking it away from WrestleMania.

Since then, the event has been held on the Smackdown before WrestleMania, and has been largely forgotten as a major accolade in the WWE. This is why most people do not remember LA Knight and Elias competing in the match together in the 2023 edition of the match.

The pair had zero interaction in the match, however. Elias was one the second eliminated in the match, being thrown out by Los Lotharios early on in the match. Meanwhile, LA Knight managed to last until the final four, being eliminated by Jonah Reed, much to the chagrin of the live crowd.

With Elias being released by the WWE in September 2023, there is a very, very small chance that we will ever get to see Elias vs LA Knight in a WWE ring.
