MJF Names Triple H As One Of The Greatest Of All Time

MJF is on his way to being one of the great AEW Champions, but he has drawn inspiration from one of the greatest heels of all time – Triple H.

He even referenced The Game in a promo, likening his title reign with the “reign of terror” of Triple H in the early 2000s.

MJF has always been a noted fan of Triple H, but recently admitted to placing the WWE Hall of Famer at the top of his Mount Rushmore, as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

MJF Puts Triple H On His Mount Rushmore

MJF has declared Triple H to be on his “Mount Rushmore” of wrestlers, for a very key reason – he was so hated!

The 14-time WWE Champion is now the head of creative in the WWE, but MJF rates him highly just on his in-ring career, ignoring his backstage influence.

The AEW Champion gushed over The Game, noting that Triple H could get anybody in wrestling booed, and was the foil for all the top stars of the Attitude Era, like The Rock and Steve Austin.

Speaking with Sam Roberts, MJF said this about Triple H;

“If we were only talking about his wrestling career, I think he still whines. There, you’re right, I do. The Rock, Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Edge, Brian Danielson, Randy Orton, Batista, Ric Flair, even at one point, he made all of these people.

I’m forgetting names, yeah, I am. Yeah, I know I am. And it’s because he was so incredibly hated that when he went through the curtain and entered that ring, if Wheeler Yoda was standing across from him, they would chant Yoda’s name. Now, who does that remind you of? Yeah, I mean, okay, yeah.”

They Both Share Large Noses

During a recent appearance on Rasslin’, MJF, the well-known AEW star, openly expressed his appreciation for Triple H while discussing wrestling greats.

In a conversation with Walker, MJF found a humorous connection with Levesque, playfully referencing their nose sizes and suggesting a correlation with wrestling talent.

Jokingly, MJF stated, “You know what? I actually have a pretty big nose too. I think there’s something about having a sizable nose that translates to having an abundance of talent in the wrestling business.”

When Walker pointed out that The Rock doesn’t possess a prominently large nose, MJF comically responded, “Ah, well, there you go. That’s probably why he left early to pursue the acting career.”

Further in the conversation, MJF playfully commented on Ric Flair’s nose, using a scatological term, and acknowledged Shawn Michaels’ nose, describing it as “solidly big” before it suffered a break.

However, he later admitted that Triple H was not the greatest of all time – putting “Rowdy” Roddy Piper at a level above the former D-Generation X member.

“If we’re talking about the overall package and not just someone who was a phenomenal star, I’d say Roddy Piper. But if we’re focusing on in-ring ability, Triple H definitely deserves recognition. I genuinely believe he doesn’t get enough credit. Sure, Austin and Rock were fantastic, but they needed to be in the ring with someone great to shine.”
