The Undertaker may be one of the most terrifying wrestlers of all time, the man himself had one former WWE star that scared him even more.

Since his debut at Survivor Series 1990, the Deadman has terrified millions all around the world. He had a legendary 30-year run in the WWE until his final match in 2020, when he defeated AJ Styles in a spooky Boneyard match at Wrestlemania 36.

He won multiple world championship and had a streak of 21 wins and 0 defeats at Wrestlemania, until he was defeated by Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 30. He retired after his match with AJ Styles, revealed in the Undertaker’s One Last Ride documentary on the WWE Network.

While he has been the subject of many children’s nightmares over the years, there was one wrestler who scared the Undertaker senseless when he was a fan as a child.

During an appearance on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, The Undertaker revealed being terrified going to see the original Sheik at a wrestling show when was 10 or 11. He and his friend wanted to confront the Sheik, but were too scared of the WWE Hall of Famer when they saw him walking down the aisle toward them.

“He scared the s**t out of me when I was a little kid (…) I don’t know, I was maybe 10 or 11 years old. I was living in Houston, Texas.

“My mom had got some tickets and The Sheik was coming in to work with somebody. I don’t remember who he was gonna wrestle.

“Me and my buddy across the street, we were talking mad like, ‘When The Sheik comes down to the ring, we’re gonna jump on the barricade and we’re gonna say this.’”

“We got ourselves all psyched up. We’re out there, we’re out on the rail, they’re about to come down. We start yelling at him and he makes just a lunge at us.

“We damn near took out the whole row trying to run because we thought The Sheik was gonna get us, man. We wiped out this old lady. We were hauling a** trying to get out the way!”

The Sheik wrestled until 1995, ending his long and storied career by taking part in death matches for Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling (FMW) in Japan. There he teamed up with his nephew, ECW Original Sabu.

Here they had a ridiculous Fire Death Match against Onita and Goto, which got out of control and threatened to kill everybody in the match. Luckily they managed to escape from the match inferno with their lives, suffering horrific burns.
