These AEW Double Champions Held Two Championships At Once

Holding one AEW Championship is impressive enough, but a select few wrestlers can claim to have held two championship at the same time. This article will outline every double champion in AEW history, looking at the two-time champion wrestlers that held two different AEW titles concurrently.

This list will only include championship won in AEW and Ring of Honor, as Tony Khan has incorporated the brand into AEW since purchasing the company in early 2022. With AEW stars winning ROH titles while still regularly appearing for the company (like Chris Jericho beating Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH Championship), it is fair to consider them a part of the AEW title lineage.

PAC

Titles Held:

  • AEW All-Atlantic Championship
  • AEW World Trios Championship

English wrestler PAC was the first ever AEW wrestler to hold two championships at the same time, with his victory over Best Friends on the AEW Dynamite. This was the September 7th, 2022 episode of Dynamite, coming just days after CM Punk’s career-ending rant at All Out, followed by a backstage fight that saw he and The Elite suspended and stripped of their titles.

Because of this, The Elite’s AEW World Trios Championships were up for grabs. Death Triangle beat the team of Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta to win the titles, adding to PAC’s AEW All-Atlantic Championship and making him the first double champion in AEW history.

PAC was the first ever AEW All-Atlantic Champion. He won a four-way match at the first ever Forbidden Door (in 2022), beating Miro, Clark Connors and Malakai Black to win the belt. He lost the title a month after becoming a double champion, dropping the belt in a classic match against Orange Cassidy. The title was later renamed the AEW International Championship.

Samoa Joe

Titles Held:

  • TNT Championship
  • ROH World Television Championship

Samoa Joe held the TNT Championship and ROH World Television Championship at the same time, making him the second double champion in AEW history. He won the ROH belt on an episode of AEW Dynamite, defeating Minoru Suzuki in a classic match to become a triple-crown champion in ROH.

He complimented this by beating Wardlow to win the TNT Championship at Full Gear 2022, in a match also involving Powerhouse Hobbs.

MJF

Titles Held:

  • AEW World Championship
  • ROH World Tag Team Championships

MJF is the third AEW wrestler to become a double champion, holding both the AEW World Championship and the ROH World Tag Team Championships at the same time. His record-breaking title reign with the AEW World title began at Full Gear 2022, when William Regal helped him win the title from Jon Moxley in a fantastic match.

Over the year next year, he held the title for a record-breaking amount of time, but also learned to make friends. After being paired with Adam Cole for a mix-and-match tag team tournament, MJF and Adam Cole unsuccessfully challenged FTR for the AEW Tag Team Championships, before beating Aussie Open at Wembley Stadium for the Ring of Honor tag team titles.

Despite Adam Cole’s injury keeping him out for many months, MJF vowed to keep the titles until he returned. He defended them by himself at times (in handicap matches), as well as recruiting Samoa Joe to act as his interim partner at Full Gear 2023 against The Gunns. This helped MJF remain a double champion in AEW.
