Tyler Breeze Returns To Wrestling 2 Years After Last Match

Tyler Breeze finally made a shock return to wrestling, two years after being unceremoniously dumped by WWE.

The former WWE Superstar was a fan-favorite, following him excelling as a “supermodel heel” in the early days of NXT.

He (unsuccessfully) challenged for the NXT Championship many times, but his real crowning glory came as Jushin “Thunder” Liger‘s sole opponent in the WWE.

His main roster run started out slow, but he soon teamed up with Fandango as “Breezango”, a partnership that lasted from 2016, until Tyler Breeze’s last WWE match in 2021.

Tyler Breeze Last Match In WWE

Tyler Breeze’s last match in the WWE was a tag team victory over one of the top teams in the WWE.

At the time, Breeze was teaming with Fandango in NXT. Known as “Breezango”, the pair were one-time NXT Tag Team Champions and one of the most popular teams in the company.

The match in question took place on June 15, 2021 episode of NXT. Breezango opened the show, taking on the duo of Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel, better known as Imperium.

Nowadays, they are a part of the most dominant stable in WWE, wrestling alongside Gunther on the main roster. However, you’d be shocked to find out Imperium actually lost to Breezango, in Tyler Breeze last match.

Imperium dominated the bulk of the match, but it was Tyler Breeze who stole the victory for his side.

While he was about to hit by a brainbuster, Breeze quickly rolled up Marcel Barthel with an inside cradel, pinning him for the win in shocking fashion.

After the match, Imperium attacked Breezango and covered Breeze in their flag, signifying their displeasure with the night’s result.

Sadly, both Tyler Breeze and Fandango were released following the match, ending their multi-year long tenure as tag team partners in the WWE.

It was odd booking to give them a victory on the way out, so it is safe to assume that their firing was a shock to Triple H and Shawn Michaels, who were booking NXT at the time.

Tyler Breeze has since returned to wrestling after a two-year hiatus, but does not hold out hope of a return to the WWE, following his last match.
