With many AEW wrestlers missing time in the last year for various reasons, it has not been a shock to see wrestlers to disappear from TV for months on end.
However, Scorpio Sky has not been seen for almost a year. He last appeared on Dynamite in July last year, and since then has not even been mentioned on air.
The former TNT and Tag Team Champion was a key part of the show for many years, being one of the first men signed to the original AEW roster.
Where is Scorpio Sky? He absence has been noticed by the AEW fans, who want to know what has happened to the first AEW tag team champion in his year off from All Elite Wrestling.
Where Is Scorpio Sky?
Scorpio Sky is currently not booked for AEW Dynamite or Rampage, although so official reason has been given.
It seems that Tony Khan has no immediate plans for him creatively. He was a big part of the show before his last match, teaming with Ethan Page as the Men of the Year, alongside Dan Lambert’s American Top Team.
He has not been seen backstage at all in recent months, according to reports. He has reportedly stayed at home in the past months, and had no part to play in the CM Punk/Elite fight at All Out 2022.
Where is Scorpio Sky? Apparently he is sat at home, waiting for his call up. He is not currently injured however, so that is not the reason why he isn’t on TV.
Scorpio Sky did suffer an injury that kept him out for five months. The former TNT Champion has been out since losing the AEW TNT Championship to Wardlow in their street fight on July 6’s Dynamite.
However, he was cleared to wrestle again in December, 5 months after suffering the horrible injury. Despite that, he has remained off TV and there has been no mention of him since his last match in AEW. [Source – Fightful Select]
It appears he is simply being left out of the show due to creative reasons. This is just like another former TNT Champion, Miro, who last wrestled at All Out 2022 and has been absent from AEW Dynamite ever since.
Scorpio Sky Last Match
Scorpio Sky’s last match in AEW was on July 6th, 2022 on an episode of AEW Dynamite.
Then the TNT Champion, he defended his title in a Street Fight against Wardlow in the main event of the show, putting on one of his best performances so far.
Wardlow dominated the match, taking out Sky and the entirety of ATT on his way to victory. It was a star-making display, with the crowd reaction for Wardlow unlike any other.
Scorpio Sky lost the match due to a Powerbomb Symphony, winning his first of two TNT Championship reigns. This was Scorpio Sky’s last match in AEW, at the time of writing, and it is unknown when he will return to AEW.
