Fans have eagerly awaited the return of Kenny Omega to AEW, with no hints as to when he will return.
The former AEW Champion has been missing since Full Gear 2021 where he lost the AEW Championship to Adam Page. He took time off to heal injuries after the show and has been out of action ever since.
However, there appears to have finally been some update into the whereabouts of Kenny Omega in AEW.
Kenny Omega return
Kenny Omega’s return to AEW in the last weeks has been confirmed by PWInsider.com.
The publication confirmed that Kenny Omega returned to AEW in the “last several weeks” although it has only been in a producer capacity.
He has said to be producing some of the women’s matches although there is no note on which matches they may be.
PWInsider.com wrote:
“While there is no known timetable on his potential return to the ring, Kenny Omega has been back at AEW TV tapings the last several weeks.“
“Working behind the scenes, including producing some of the women’s division matches, PWInsider.com has confirmed”
Kenny Omega has also been working closely with Yikes for the new AEW Video Game AEW Fight Forever. The game is set for release in September this year and is being guided by famous video game enthusiast Kenny Omega while he makes his return to AEW.
