Matt Riddle vs Brock Lesnar is a dream match for many, including Raw Tag Team Champion Matt Riddle. As one half of RK-Bro, alongside Randy Orton, the former UFC fighter has become one of the top stars on Raw, and was reportedly the early choice to win the 2022 Royal Rumble until Brock Lesnar was chosen to win instead.
Matt Riddle has long been vocal about his desire to face fellow former UFC star Brock inside a WWE ring. He even called out The Beast last year during his beef with former Universal Champion Bill Goldberg, although he confirmed that he would stop publicly challenging Brock Lesnar after an altercation between the two.
Matt Riddle is a fans dream match in WWE too, as both men are former UFC fighters. The two men are considered two of the most legitimate fighters in WWE, despite Riddle’s perception of being a joker and a laid-back guy in his personal life. With his rise to stardom alongside his partner Randy Orton, a match against the 11-time World Champion seems more likely than ever before despite their past differences.
Brock Lesnar vs Matt Riddle
In a recent interview with Catch Club, Matt Riddle discussed his dream opponent if he were to main event a Wrestlemania. With previous main events including the likes Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Edge, Matt Riddle gave a couple of names of stars he would like to face, but one stood head and shoulders above the rest.
“I mean the obvious answer is Brock Lesnar. You know I’ve been wanting that guy for a minute, but he didn’t want me, but now we were kinda like this. I might be able to get in there now. I don’t know if I will like the outcome of the match.”
Matt Riddle did step into the ring with Brock Lesnar earlier this year, when he was part of the Elimination Chamber match at the event in Saudi Arabia of the same name. Brock Lesnar was the last man in the match, and he lasted just minutes before he eliminated everyone left in the match, including Matt Riddle.
Riddle spoke about this experience later on in the interview;
“I had a little taste. You know things didn’t go according to plan. I think everyone would agree with that. Brock broke out of his pod and did what Brock does. Nobody was ready for him and he came in and he Brocked us. I would like that match when the time is right and the build is right.
