Former World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler made his shocking debut on NXT this week, when he interrupted NXT Champion Bron Breakker and challenger Santos Escobar.
The pair were taking part in a Championship Summit before Dolph Ziggler interrupted. He made his way to the ring before snatching the microphone from Wade Barrett. The crowd popped huge for Dolph Ziggler as he walked down the ramp donned in an all black suit.
Ziggler interrupted the face to face between Breakker and Escobar, and continued his war of words between himself and Bron Breakker. The pair had been throwing barbs at each other over social media and WWE.com. As he spoke, the fans chanted “Steal the show” and “Triple Threat”, showing that he was still a fan favourite with the NXT fans.
However, as Ziggler spoke, he was interrupted by former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, who recently lost the title to current title holder Bron Breakker. Ciampa and Ziggler brawled while Santos Escobar put Bron Breakker through a table.
This looks to set up a fatal 4 way match between the four men, but could also include a singles match between Tommaso Ciampa and Dolph Ziggler on NXT TV. It is still not too late to add the match to next weeks NXT Vengeance special episode, but is more than likely going to happen at some point in the next few weeks.
The matches currently set for NXT Vengeance on Tuesday 15th February, 2022 are:
- NXT Championship: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Santos Escobar
- NXT North American Championship: Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. Cameron Grimes
- NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship: Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta
- Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic finals: The Creed Brothers vs. MSK
- Weaponized steel cage match: Pete Dunne vs. Tony d’Angelo
