Dolph Ziggler defeated Bron Breakker at NXT Stand and Deliver, with the latter looking to move up the main roster after Wrestlemania, if the rumours are to be believed. This will lead to Dolph Ziggler looking for another challenger for his NXT Championship. Based on current records in NXT, there is only one match for the NXT Champion to have next – Dolph Ziggler vs GUNTHER (the former WALTER).
Dolph Ziggler vs Bron Breakker ended when Ziggler hit Breakker with a superkick, while at the same event GUNTHER hit a splash followed by a powerbomb to put away NXT star LA Knight. Following the victory, it seems Dolph Ziggler vs GUNTHER could be the next NXT Championship feud, with GUNTHER already boasting a record setting reign as the NXT United Kingdom Champion.
Former World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler was a shock winner of the NXT Championship a few weeks back, when he pinned Tommaso Ciampa to win Bron Breakker’s NXT Championship in a triple threat match at NXT Roadblock. It was his first ever NXT Championship, and his first run in NXT ever.
The Championship win was a shock to the fans in the arena and at home, but no one was more shocked about the victory than the NXT Champion himself, Dolph Ziggler.
In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Dolph Ziggler revealed he was “comically surprised” to be the NXT Champion and that he he only went down to NXT to check out Bron Breakker.
“I am comically surprised to be the NXT champion right now,” Ziggler says. “I went to NXT to do some scouting, to see who had that twinkle in their eye or if anyone would be ready in a year or two, and check out Bron Breakker. A few weeks later, I was NXT champion. I didn’t expect this.”

It is unclear when Dolph Ziggler vs GUNTHER will take place on NXT. Whether it takes place on their weekly Tuesday night TV show on the USA Network, or on the next NXT “Takeover” (although they are not named as such anymore) special remains to be seen.
