Ric Flair is coming out of retirement this summer for one last match.
While a number of stars have been rumoured to be stepping into the ring to end Flair’s career, including FTR and Rick Steamboat, one WWE legend has been rumoured to be taking on the Nature Boy in his retirement match.
At least according to one former WWE star…
Ric Flair vs Hulk Hogan
In a recent interview, former WWE star B Brian Blair may have let slip that Ric Flair vs Hulk Hogan is the match set for Starrcast V, in Ric Flair’s retirement match.
In the interview, Blair said about Hulk Hogan coming out of retirement to fight Ric Flair;
“I’m looking forward to seeing Flair and Hogan at SummerSlam (meaning Starrcast V)”
“Well, I think if Ric were gonna die anywhere, he’d wanna die in the ring. Terry’s had his fair share of surgeries, way too many and I’m getting ready to call Terry in a couple of minutes. I just wish them the very best. I know the fans are the ones that have been really egging it on that really want to see it. So it’s sparked them. All I can say it will be interesting and I just pray that they both come out in one piece.”
While Ric Flair’s opponent has not been announced, it would be a shock to see the 73 year old take on the 67 year old Hulk Hogan. Hogan vs Flair was the Wrestlemania main event WWE never booked, but the pair later faced off in a WCW ring multiple times.
