Well, it actually happened.
WWE really booked another Roman Reigns victory at WrestleMania.
It should not be a surprise, but Triple H and company got everybody sucked in, and believing in Cody Rhodes.
We really thought it was his time, after his huge return at the 2023 Royal Rumble and journey to the main event of WrestleMania 39.
He seemed certain to win. He overcame the odds, fought off the Bloodline and finally got Roman to himself. A Bionic Elbow and two Cross Rhodes later, and the title seemed destined for the Rhodes family.
However, it was not to be. Solo Sikoa, already ejected from the match, found a loophole to get back to ringside.
He put a hoodie on. That was literally it took for him to sneak into the match and lay a Samoan Spike into the throat of Cody Rhodes.
This gave The Tribal Chief the opportunity to get free from Cody’s grip and hit The American Nightmare with a huge spear to pin him for the victory.
This result was a huge shock. Dare I say it, it was the wrong call. No, I’ll say it, it was a terrible call by Triple H.
The moment was there to end Roman Reigns’ legendary, 900+ day reign as the sole World Champion in the WWE on the biggest stage possible,
WWE were ready to give the fans a new top face to lead the company, one that they believed in. But it was not to be, and they pulled the rug out from under us.
It shouldn’t be a shock. They did the exact same thing to Sami Zayn in Montreal, Drew McIntyre in Cardiff and every other match in his title reign.
It’s boring now. How many times can we see The Big Dog wrestle in the same exact match, with the same exact b****** ending to keep him in charge of the belts.
There’s nobody left for Roman Reigns to take on. Unless The Rock is going to take the belt off him, he has no challengers. WWE have, once again, sacrificed the entire roster to the Roman Reigns machine.
He’s a heel. They’ve got me to dislike him and want him to lose. But it’s gone too far now. I simply don’t care about Roman’s title reign anymore.
WrestleMania 39 was the chance to make a change in the WWE, and end Roman Reigns legendary title reign the right way.
Unfortunately, Roman remains. The title remains in hostage. Cody Rhodes is a failure.
WWE does not change.
