Former NXT Champion Andrade El Idolo will make his long-awaited return to AEW this Saturday, on the debut episode of AEW Collision.
Andrade El Idolo returns to take on Buddy Matthews of the House of Black, in his first match of 2023.
Andrade has also been out since All Out when he competed in a Casino ladder match. He underwent surgery for a torn pectoral muscle in November.
The Mexican star has reportedly been unhappy in AEW, causing a backstage fight with Sammy Guevara in 2022 and reportedly asking for his release multiple times.
He was not cleared to wrestle until recently, with many not expecting him to wrestle at all in the near future.
However, it seems he is fit and raring to go, joining three other returning superstars on AEW Collision.
Miro is making his first appearance since All Out 2022 on the show, wrestling in a match against an unnamed opponent.
Meanwhile, CM Punk makes his first appearance since the controversial “Brawl Out” scenario at All Out 2022, following an injury and suspension for the two-time AEW Champion.
Punk will team with FTR to take on Jay White, Juice Robinson and Samoa Joe in the main event of the show.
