Becky Lynch has to be on the list of the greatest female wrestlers of all time

She was the first woman to main event a WrestleMania, and is one of the most popular wrestlers in WWE history, out of both men and women.

She has won more titles than anyone can count, has held the belts longer than anybody else, and is one of the biggest wrestling stars on the planet.

However, Becky Lynch has admitted to thinking about retirement, and could see acting in Hollywood as the end of her career creeps over the horizon

Becky Lynch on Retirement

Speaking to Stephen A. Smith following the incredibly successful WrestleMania 39 event, Becky Lynch talked about retiring from the ring.

The WWE Womens Tag Team Champion revealed how she is trying to enjoy her in-ring career while it lasts, citing that “it ain’t gonna last forever!”.

“It ain’t gonna last forever, and so you gotta enjoy it. But sometimes it’s hard. Sometimes it’s hard because your body aches…

There is gonna be a day when I’m not going to be able to go out in front of 80,000 people screaming my name and at WrestleMania. And so you have to start thinking ‘What is that retirement plan?’”

Becky Lynch has had one eye on retirement since giving birth to her first child. She vacated her women’s championship in 2020, announcing her pregnancy live on Raw.

She later gave birth to a baby girl, named Roux, alongside husband Seth Rollins.

Moving Into Acting

While most of her time gets taken up by being a mother and a wrestler, Becky Lynch has also found time to follow her Hollywood ambitions.

The former Women’s Champion has always had an interest in acting, doing a degree in the subject in University, and has taken on a number of roles in recent years to increase her star power.

One of these was a role in the series “Young Rock”, based on the life of former WWE Superstar The Rock.

Telling the tale of his life and the wrestling business, he employed Becky Lynch to play Cyndi Lauper in the latest series.

Lauper is a singer who made it big in the 1980s. However, she was also crucial to the Rock ‘n’ Wrestling era and had a huge part to play in getting the first WrestleMania off the ground.

Speaking about her ambitions to move into acting outside of the WWE, Becky Lynch said;

“I did my degree in acting, and that’s something that I always want to do. I think performing in general just lights a fire in me… I personally will never be able to not work I don’t think,”

“I love working creatively, I love collaborating with people … Maybe our mind will tell us that that day is up, or maybe our bodies will tell us that day is up.”

Becky Lynch recently teamed up with WWE Hall of Famer’s Lita at Trish Stratus at WrestleMania 39. They defeated Bayley, IYO SKY and Dakotai on night 1 of the event.
