Brock Lesnar Vs Omos For Wrestlemania 39, Meltzer Confirms

Davw MMeltzer has confirmed that Brock Lesnar will take on Omos at Wrestlemania 39.

Brock Lesnar vs Omos is not a match anybody expected, given the Nigerian giants poor wrestling skills and lack of main event push so far.

While many fans wanted to see Brock Lesnar vs Gunther, this seems not to be the case. Omos challenge Lesnar to a match last week on Raw and in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer confirmed that the match will happen at Wrestlemania 39.

“Brock Lesnar vs. Omos. The only thing we know is that whatever the Lesnar plan was, and it wasn’t Gunther, that is that it changed in the last week or two. Next week on Raw they are doing an angle that would either set up this match, or the angle is a swerve for something else. But television would lead you to believe this is it.”

Brock Lesnar vs Omos

Brock Lesnar looks set to take on Omos in a huge battle at Wrestlemania 39. The Beast Incarnate has been without an opponent for the show so far, but this Monday Night on Raw he found himself challenged by one of the biggest WWE wrestlers ever.

On Raw, Brock Lesnar was challenged by MVP on behalf of his client Omos to a match at Wrestlemania. Omos is a former University Basketball player who moved on to wrestling when he signed to the WWE in 2019. Omos stands at seven feet and three inches, towering over Lesnar and providing him a physical challenge for the first time in his career.

The Nigerian giant faced off last year at Crown Jewel against Braun Strowman in a battle of the giants. The two towering behemoths collided in front of the Saudi Arabian crowd, with fans all over the world excited to see the two titans clash. The match was more entertaining than many expected and saw Braun Strowman pick up the victory with an impressive powerslam.

Omos and MVP have now set their sights on Brock Lesnar. MVP called him a coward for his match against Bobby Lashley and revealed that Omos was challenging Lesnar for a match at Wrestlemania, with the pair meeting in the ring next week to confirm the match.

This match is a slight disappointment given the rumoured matchups for Lesnar this year. He was expected to face off with Bobby Lashley at the event, culminating their feud which has lasted for months. Lashley eliminated Lesnar from the 2023 Royal Rumble and beat him at Fastlane by DQ, which seemed to set up a rubber match at ‘mania. However, this is not the case.

After their Royal Rumble stand-off, Gunther seemed an exciting opponent for Brock Lesnar. The WWE Intercontinental Champion is a dream match for Brock Lesnar and would easily put on one of the matches of the year if they stepped into the ring together. That will have to wait, as Brock Lesnar vs Omos is the match WWE want for Wrestlemanai 39.
